What Types of Branding Projects are there?

The first step in any new branding project is to ensure that you have a very clear understanding of what sort of branding project you want to embark upon.  Consider your branding project and identify which of the following categories best fits your circumstances.

Creating a New Brand

This is normally reserved for new businesses who do not already have a brand.

In some circumstances, it is possible to create new brand for an existing business.  For example, if your business in changing direction, e.g. targeting new market or introducing new products or services, changing you brand can signal that change to the market. In addition, you may also create product-specific brands when launching a new product or service.

Brand Rejuvenation

If your business is established and successful in its marketplace but is suffering because of an outdated brand, then undertaking a brand rejuvenation project can help your organisation to reassert its position in the marketplace. Read more…

Re-Branding

This is the process of creating an entirely new brand for a business that already has a brand.  It is important that a rebranding project is done for the correct reasons and is managed property.  Failure to do so can have a negative impact on your business.
